Mississippi Mud

Mississippi Mud is the first quilt that Mary designed in the early 60's and it has been popular ever since. Simple snowball corners and a couple of design tricks are the secrets to this great quilt. It was named "mud" by her students because it uses lots and lots of prints - even the "uglies" can be hidden in this quilt! Make it with all those Bali's or 30's prints or Civil War prints that you have stashed - anu category works well! You will learn ways to streamline your piecing and pressing to increase accuracy that can be applied to any quilt block.
Note: There is pre-cutting to be done, so be sure to register at least a week before the workshop.

As a result of entering quilt shows over the past 10 years, I've learned how to do an excellent basic binding. This will be a hands-on workshop and you'll need something to bind - - even if it's just a new cat or dog pad! I have some great tips on how to achieve excellent corners and an invisible finish! Even students who have bound many quilts pick up some new tips!
